Government Authority located in Flagstaff, Arizona; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for professional legal services.
[A] Budget: Looking for proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide professional legal services to provide technical assistance and
review of legal documents, with a focus on transit-specific issues inherent with Federal Transit
Administration to the government authority located in Flagstaff, AZ.
• The selected firm will provide assistance and recommendations via e-mail, postal mail
delivery, in-person, and/or telephonically.
• The selected firm will have a representative available during public meetings and selected
work sessions to provide legal input on public transit activities, documents and management
issues as determined by NAIPTA management team.
• The selected firm is encouraged to provide specialized discipline consulting service for a
team approach, where they feel such an approach would augment the overall strength of
their team.
• Knowledge and experience with FTA guidelines, regulations and requirements is preferred,
including Civil Rights requirements and Best Practices Procurement Methods.
• The selected firm will have extensive knowledge of Fair Labour Standards Act and other
relevant employment regulations.
• Knowledge and experience with Arizona Revised Statutes is preferred.
• The selected firm will provide legal technical assistance on all issues and documents relating
to federal and state funding, purchase acquisition, partner agreements (including
intergovernmental agreements), and service agreements.
• Review and opinion on all type of contracts, purchasing and solicitations, including goods,
services and construction projects.
• Review and opinion of Employee Policies and employee discipline as well as mandated Drug
and Alcohol programs.
• Assistance, review and representation in matters of dispute related to employment, contract
and workers comp/injury issues.
• Provide recommendations on adherence to Open Meeting Law in public meetings.
• Time is of the essence in performance of this Contract. When services are deemed
appropriate, the selected firm shall strictly comply with said schedule and failure to do so
shall be a material breach of the Contract
(2) All questions must be submitted no later than June 28, 2019.
[C] Eligibility:
Onshore (USA Only)
[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office premises.
